Trip to glacier lake
We rode a bus and van WAY up the mountain to see a beautiful glacier lake - short distance point to point, lots of switchbacks. Some of the students were taken on row boats out onto the lake. Then they all hiked down the mountain trail to meet the vehicles at the bottom. Beautiful to see God's workmanship!

Bonfire!!
We sat around a bonfire tonight to sing praise songs and share stories of how Christ has changed our lives.
Trip into old and new Yungay
We hiked down from Kusi to the site of the original town of Yungay. The town was covered by a landslide resulting from an earthquake in 1970. We toured the ruins and visited the memorial for those lost.
Then we hiked in to the new Yungay for a snack at the cafe run by Scott and Julia from Kusi. Angel's and Rosa's son works in the cafe, and the chef is one of the young men who grew up in Kusi!!

With God's help we have dug the area for the foundation of the new washhouse! Yes, all those rocks were in the way!
Some of the boys and Mr. Mickey helped build a new set of steps leading to the guest quarters.
